Activity Errors and Warning

When a user attempts to process an activity and the processing is halted for any reason, an icon will appear in the Action column on the Activity screen. The purpose of the icon is to alert the user of additional steps that must be taken for the activity or possible errors with the activity. An explanation of error and warning icons that appear on the Activity screen is given below.

Error Icons

Warning icon in OIPA This warning icon alerts the user that the activity is not able to process without additional information. Click the icon to see what the system needs before the activity can process. This error can be either system generated or due to a configured rule. Some configured rules will allow these edits to be overridden by clicking on the error detail and checking the override checkbox. Access to the override checkbox is dependent on configuration and the user’s security role. If the error is overridden, the icon will persist on the activity indicating the exception and its override status.

Warning flag iconThis icon alerts the user that processing was halted due to exceptions found after the transaction assignment and valuation processes have successfully completed their calculations. Usually this occurs when valuation criteria configured in the activity was not met, such as a minimum or maximum calculated transaction amount. As with the other error icon above, these exceptions may be overridden if the configured rule and the user’s security role allow. Also as above, if overridden, the icon will persist on the activity.

Warning Icons

Requirement icon This icon alerts the user that requirements exist for the activity and must be met before the activity may process. Click the icon to open the Requirement screen and manage requirement details. Once all requirements are closed this icon will persist on the activity as a view to the attached requirements.
